Instead of flaunting an international designer gown, the brand ambassador of the awards show chose to dress Indian on the first day of the two-day event Bipasha Basu tweeted a photograph of her in a Shivan and Narresh sari, all set to walk the green carpet at the Indian International Academy Awards 2012 in Singapore. And we must say she makes a stunning picture in the brown and black sari. Everything from the Bong babe’s straight hair to her spaghetti choli to her block style sari to her sexy body gets our thumbs up! We like that though a sari is essentially traditional wear, the designer’s contemporary style makes it a perfect blend of Indian and western sensibilities. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will reportedly add to the glamour at the upcoming 13th International Indian Film Academy awards. Contrary to reports that none of the Khans are going to attend the IIFA this year, the ‘Bodyguard’ star will be in Singapore for the Bollywood extravaganza, sources close to the award ceremony said. Salman will be returning to IIFA after two years as he did not attend last year`s awards. Parties thrown by the actor at the IIFA are very popular. It is not clear yet whether Salman will be performing on the awards gala night where ‘Wanted’ director Prabhu Deva will be choreographing the performances by various actors. The IIFA weekend is being held from June 7-9 in Lion City Singapore
