Rockstar:Ranbir Kapoor’s daring act in the film, Rahman’s over the top music and Imtiaaz Ali’s different way of story telling make it the standout film of the year. In this hero-oriented film, Debutante heroine Nargis Fakhri also made her presence felt. Anil Mehta's cinematography was exceptional, where he shot things from the beauty of Kashmir to the Heritage of Prague.   Singham:Ajay Devgn’s action avatar, which was seen after so many years, did make its presence felt to the audiences. Rohit Shetty’s action did the rest for the film to make it a part of the 100 cr. Club. Music here was average but the daring action made up for it. 7 Khoon Maaf:No matter the fate of this film at the Box-Office, it will stay in my heart for a long time. Dirty Picture rakes in Rs 50 crore in 1st week

one fell swoop, the Vidya Balan-starrer The Dirty Picture has broken the long-held belief that films with strong female characters can't hold their own in a male-dominated Bollywood. Within a week of its release, the film - which rides on Balan's able shoulders - has grossed nearly Rs 50 crore, taking on conventional biggies with even bigger budgets. The last female-centric film to have acquitted itself well in the Bollywood arena was Priyanka Chopra's Fashion (2008), directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Trade analyst Amod Mehra is lavish in his praise for Milan Luthria's The Dirty Picture which captures the tragic life of the sultry South Indian actress Silk Smitha. If there is any justice in this world, The Dirty Picture will do for Vidya Balan what Raging Bull did for Robert DeNiro. Balan owns this film so completely that it seems to collapse under it's own facade whenever she's off screen, which thankfully isn't much.
