Lets catch all reviews of Ra.One in this thread. Please comment if you have seen the movie.

Rajeev Masand 2.5/5

What’s missing from Ra.One is a sure-footed director’s touch. Anubhav Sinha fails to bring all the elements together, and while this superhero film has plenty sound and fury, it’s sorely lacking slickness. I’m going with two and a half out of five for Ra.One. Like the spaghetti and curds concoction that Shah Rukh digs into in an early scene, Ra.One is clearly an acquired taste.

Mid Day 2.5/5

'RA.One' fails to impress

Why ape Hollywood’s extravagance and technical virtuosity with limited resources? Despite the largely thrilling ride, Khan’s ambition for Ra.One is misplaced. It is without real commitment to the art of storytelling or genre. The producer-actor is its only relentless, narcissistic showpiece.

Anubhav Sinha’s Ra.One is a spectacular disappointment.

NTDV 2.5/5
RA.One is like a colourful Popsicle that looks tantalising, tickles the palate while it lasts, but leaves no particular after-taste. Sound and fury? Loads of it. Significance? Not much.

Two and a half stars would have been in order – the extra half is for the sheer scale of the film’s ambition. So what if it falls short?

Sify 2.5/5

So there you have it - the special effects are cool (even cooler in 3D, I'm sure), the actors rock, and the story's fun. The only reason one stops short of recommending Ra.One is the sporadic adult content that has no business being in a film for kids. Too bad, really.

Over all, Ra.One is visually appealing but not for the ones looking for sense in this piece of cinema.

The VFX award would go for most battle arenas, inspired from many popular games. It wouldn't go for the local train swishing out of CST station like a PowerPoint slide.

It's convenient to say that if you have no expectations from 'RA.One', you wouldn't be disappointed. But if you feel so little for the film, why go to watch it at all?

DNA 3/5

Ra.One is half baked attempt that entertain sporadically

Taran Adarsh 4.5/5

On the whole, RA.ONE is a solid entertainer, no two opinions on that. It's not merely a great looking film, but also has soul, which is so essential to strike a chord with the avid moviegoer. As for the business prospects, RA.ONE is sure to shatter all previous records and set new ones, in India as well as internationally. The film will be the new yardstick for measuring success. It has Blockbuster written all over it!

Times Of India 3/5
The film falls back in the emotional quotient. Understandably, robots have no feelings, but remember, even the steely Terminator managed to have a very special relationship with the mom and her messiah son. Also, considering so much money has been poured into the film, the special effects and the hi-tech gadgetry lacks the glitzy feel of Hollywood sci-fi. In some places, it even gets somewhat tacky with all those flying cars hurtling into nowhere and the digital game screen going gaudy in orange.

Small quibbles, actually, since Ra-One is sure to usher in a crackling Diwali at the box office and give the audience paisa vasool entertainment, with fine performances by both Shah Rukh and Kareena. Even young Armaan is efficient. Go have a blast.

Gulf News
While Chhamak Chhalo Kapoor sizzled only in one scene, SRK held the film from the beginning, first as the geek then as the superhero. Little Verma was good as Prateek while Rampal always makes a good baddie.

In all, a fun movie to catch and will definitely run full house during the Diwali weekend – making it a very happy Diwali for Shah Rukh Khan.

Rediff 2/5

I wish Ra.One had more of the evil character played by Rampal. I wish we could have seen some more sparks of evil from Kapoor. But Ra.One is mostly about Khan.

There are video games that kids play, but then they shut them off, after they win or lose. Finally, Ra.One has a similar forgettable quality.
