REVIEW: JHM is a coming of age story of Rohan Bhatia and Neha Kapoor, two young, individuals whose lives change forever once they meet and fall in love. Rohan is an ambitious, MBA graduate who wants instant success and he`ll do anything to make that come true! Rohan moves to Mumbai to pursue a career as a stockbroker where he meets Neha, a no-nonsense, strong headed girl who`s come to Mumbai to follow her dreams, the dream of becoming a film actor. During the course of the film they touch the peaks of love, loss, despair, longing, betrayal and redemption.
This film sees many debutants in the form of its lead-pair, Director and Producer. The fresh team working on this film has tried the century old concept, which is tried and tested in this film. That concept is a young couple’s love story with light comedy and good music. Well sometimes it works and sometimes doesn’t. And this time I think it will not work in this film’s case. Altough Sunny Gill has a lot of potential in him and had it been a better script for his first film he could have been a new sensation. Simran Mundi does no justice to her role and disappoints. Yuri Suri as Sunny’s father is excellent. Achint Kaur as the seducting rich lady is all right. Rests of the actors are all right.
Pawan Gill as a director is descent but not so good. One highlight of the film is it’s peppy music composed by Sachin Gupta. This weak film is somehow supported by the music. On a personal level all the 5 tracks are a part of my playlist. Screenplay and Dialogues are at par with the story. Editing is fine.
Overall, the film lacks a tight storyline but has merits in the form of Music and actor Sunny Gill. It can be skipped this weekend.
