TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2011

Rockstar:Ranbir Kapoor’s daring act in the film, Rahman’s over the top music and Imtiaaz Ali’s different way of story telling make it the standout film of the year. In this hero-oriented film, Debutante heroine Nargis Fakhri also made her presence felt. Anil Mehta's cinematography was exceptional, where he shot things from the beauty of Kashmir to the Heritage of Prague.

Singham:Ajay Devgn’s action avatar, which was seen after so many years, did make its presence felt to the audiences. Rohit Shetty’s action did the rest for the film to make it a part of the 100 cr. Club. Music here was average but the daring action made up for it.

7 Khoon Maaf:No matter the fate of this film at the Box-Office, it will stay in my heart for a long time. Priyanka’s daring act and Vishal Bhardwaj’s narration skills made the film a classic that was more loved by the Film Festival audience and Priyanka’s performance is still fresh in my Heart. The Music of this film was average, Darling being an exception.

The Dirty Picture:2011 was also a heroine-oriented year. And even they made their presence felt through various films. TDP was one of them where Vidya Balan excelled and sizzled on-screen by showing off her Sexuality and some Punching Dialogues. The music was this film was another highlight, Oh Lala being my favourite for the year and equally supported by Ishq Sufiyaana.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan:When I first heard about this film, I wondered how could they present humor in such a serious kind of subject. But the promos left me surprised and then the film left me spellbound, especially Katrina’s act. The rest was done by the Melodious music composed by Sohail Sen. This film was also a dream debut for Ali Abbas Zafar.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara:ZNMD was considered to be an art-house kind of a film. But thanks to the word of mouth this film was later called as a feel-good film. And it really was so. Farhan Akhtar led the performance in this multi-starrer.

Delhi Belly:Delhi Belly was one film whose first promo, which was a song, Bhaag Bhaag D.K. Bose did the talking for the film and whosoever saw was amazed as well as shocked by it's lyrics. This film is nothing less than a 'Cult Classic'. I would still say that the one man behind the success of this film is the Marketing Genius himself, Aamir Khan.

Don 2:Shahrukh Khan who was basically known as a romantic hero surprised everyone with Don in 2006 and later he surpassed his own act in the sequel. There were talks that why are the makers taking so long to announce the sequel to Don. But then no one understood that in order to make a better film than the previous part, they need an even better script it takes time. And really the 5 year long wait was worth it. The Music was not as good as it was expected but it was tolerable on-screen.

Stanley Ka Dabba:I hardly cry while watching a film. In fact this was the first film, which made me cry in the Hall. This film is as special to me as it is to its makers. I have seen it around 10 times within 6 months and still it looks as fresh and makes me emotional.

Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge:This film surprised us all. The first promo was not as good as expected from a Yash Raj product. But here the music of the film did the trick for them. And then the film was loved not only by the Youth but also by people of an elder age. Basically, everyone who saw the film loved it.
